Architectural Woodcraft has been a major contributor to the exciting revitalization of Asheville and Western North Carolina since 1982. We are fully capable of managing projects that range in complexity from custom entrances to large-scale property restoration. We can design and build custom woodworking projects to match existing styles or to realize new plans or concepts. Along with the structural and architectural integrity of our work, we value personal attention. Our main goal is to provide you with exactly what you want. Every commission is undertaken and realized with great care so it has the unmistakable presence and feel of the finest woodwork available. Doors

Architectural Woodcraft is a Asheville contractor that specializes in the creation of custom wood doors for home owners, interior decorators and architects. Our woodworkers are skilled at making doors of any size and shape, from huge doors for a church or stable, to entrance doors for small cabin. We have hand built thousands of beautiful entrance and interior doors. We use the best woods, joinery and hardware, and finish each door to provide many lifetimes of use.

Windows

One of our specialties is creating new windows for modern homes and reproduction windows for historic structures. For new construction and modern homes, we can create custom window sizes of almost any size and configuration. We have the ability to make improvements to historic design too, and can make historic designs perform like state of the art windows, by doing things like using double-paned insulated glass.

Cabinetry

We fabricate cabinetry from historic to the very latest contemporary styles. We use the greenest formaldehyde-free plywood and all water-based top coats. We pride ourselves on being one of the greenest cabinet making shops in the area. Unlike many shops, we build all aspects your cabinets in-house. We like to work with our clients and architects to help engineer and design cabinetry to be both functional and beautiful.

Restoration

We have have experience working with the National Register of Historic Places, the National Parks Service, The Asheville Historic Resources Commission, The Preservation Society of Asheville & Buncombe County. We have restored all kinds of houses and commercial buildings, small and large, we can rebuild one window or hundreds, from projects as varied as church doors to lighthouse windows.
