About Universal Motorcars
Universal Motorcars is a full-service mechanical and auto body shop on Spring Mountain Rd in Las Vegas. We handle diagnostics, brakes, A/C, engines, transmissions, suspension, alignment and maintenance, plus collision, frame, body and paint repairs. Our factory collision certifications cover Ford, Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, Cadillac, Kia, Hyundai, Nissan, INFINITI, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram, plus Corvette C8 specialty certification. We also provide independent Tesla and EV mechanical and body repair. We work with all auto insurers and assist with extended-warranty authorizations, subject to coverage. Mechanical repair financing is available, subject to approval. Bring your vehicle in for an inspection.

Exterior panels can hide damaged brackets, reinforcements, wiring, sensors, suspension components and mounting areas. Additional parts, labor or manufacturer-required procedures may become apparent after authorized disassembly. Those findings are documented through the supplement process instead of being ignored or guessed at beforehand.
The insurance company’s first estimate is usually preliminary. It may be based on photographs or a visual inspection, so it generally includes only the damage visible at that stage.
A supplement is not written simply because a customer brings the vehicle to the shop and believes the estimate is too low. First, the customer chooses Universal Motorcars for the repair, signs the required authorization and leaves or schedules the vehicle for repairs.
Once repairs begin, our technicians perform the authorized teardown and inspect the areas behind the damaged panels. If we discover additional accident-related damage, missing parts or required repair procedures, we photograph and document those findings, prepare a supplement and submit it to the insurance company for review.
The first estimate starts the claim. The supplement reflects what is discovered after the vehicle is opened up for repair. Insurance approval remains subject to the claim and policy.
Yes. Nevada law allows an insured or claimant to choose the licensed body shop that repairs the vehicle. An insurer may recommend a preferred shop, but it cannot require you to use that facility. Universal Motorcars is an independent repair facility, and the repair decision belongs to you
. Can Universal Motorcars tow my damaged vehicle from the accident scene or impound lot?
Yes. We can help coordinate towing or retrieve the vehicle from an impound facility when authorized. Contact us with the vehicle’s location, keys, claim information and available ownership documents. Towing and impound charges remain subject to the circumstances of the claim and insurance coverage.
A bumper that only looks scratched may have damaged brackets, sensors or components behind it. Do not drive the vehicle if the bumper is loose, a tire is rubbing, fluid is leaking, warning lights are on or the steering, braking or suspension feels different. When there is any doubt, towing is the safer choice.
Yes. You can bring the vehicle to Universal Motorcars so we can inspect the damage, take photographs and prepare a preliminary estimate. The insurance company may still request its own inspection, and we will not begin disassembly or repairs without the appropriate authorization.
Photograph the vehicle, surrounding area, debris and any paint transferred from the other vehicle. Look for witnesses or nearby security cameras and report the hit-and-run to the police and your insurance company. If the vehicle is unsafe to drive, we can help coordinate towing to Universal Motorcars for an in-person damage inspection.

No. Calibration depends on the affected systems, parts removed or replaced and applicable repair procedures. We determine whether scanning or calibration is required for the specific vehicle.
Universal Motorcars Spring Mountain is a Corvette C8 Specialty Certified collision repair facility within the GM Collision Repair Network. Bring the Corvette and any insurance estimate to us for an in-person damage inspection.
