About Steve The Dogman
No one likes to be embarrassed by their pet when company comes over or when you’re out for a stroll. The Dogman can help your pet learn manners and get more belly scratches! Chicagoland dog owners! I’m Steve the Dogman, a certified dog trainer through Animal Behavior College, an AKC Evaluator, and certified aggression specialist. My training journey began in 2013, and it quickly became my calling. For over a decade I’ve volunteered for multiple rescues, humane societies, and non-profit organizations for one reason: to help dogs and their owners live better lives together. Steve the Dogman, LLC was launched in 2023 in honor of my late mentor, Dave “the Dogman” Benson, to help carry on his legacy and mission of: “transforming lives with the power of the dog.” Known by many for my skills in confidence building, aggression management, reliable obedience training, among other areas including owner education and dog safety protocols. My passion is helping dog owners build a more positive and understanding relationship with their dogs. I proudly provide my Private Lessons, Virtual Zoom Lessons, and Board & Train programs throughout Northern Illinois and the Greater Chicagoland area. I look forward to helping many more dogs and families as possible in the years to come.
